Pilot your Pitch Event

Pilot your Pitch

Wednesday 1 September 2010

about

Introduced in 2006, was a special event to Blueprint: The North East Universities Business Planning Competition,  which enables all our sponsors and finalists to meet prior to the Grand Final, each year,  in October.

Finalist teams are given the opportunity to present a 5-minute “pitch” of their business idea to the assembled sponsors and supporters, with 10-minutes allocated for questions, constructive suggestions and advice on both the pitch itself and the business idea also.

Lunchtime provides an opportunity for networking, meeting informally with the sponsors and perhaps discuss more specific advice and support.  This part of blueprint is a prime opportunity to get involved with the finalists from an early stage, contributing with practical advice and constructive criticism to help build crucial relationships with future business partners.

On the same day, the finalists will be given the opportunity of a PR interview and press photography as well as a filmed copy of their pitch to take away and make their own adjustments as they see fit.

The event, now annual, will take place in early September, giving plenty of time before the Grand Final in late October giving plenty of time to fine tune and amend both their business ideas and their pitches based on any suggestions that they receive.

(NB: This event is open ONLY to Entrants, Sponsors and University Invitees - All entrants to the competition are required to attend)
